Coaches’ perceptions of innovation programs of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation

This research studied the coaches’ perceptions of innovation programs Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) during 2016-2020. The RFET is one most relevant national federations in Spain both terms results at highest levels game as well participation and grassroots tennis. Coaches are considered stakeholders any sport federation due to their role delivering sport. A 29-item questionnaire adapted tennis was completed by 132 certified coaches members which had different years experience coached players various skill levels. Results showed significant differences between with more than 20 they perceived rivalry regional access grants international competitiveness high-level compared less experienced colleagues. also that COVID-19 pandemic negatively affected strategy capability organization. They identified a initiative coach education project two valued innovative implemented period. These last findings coincide those from previous highlight relevance providing clear player development guidelines opportunities for continuous professional through education.
